While The Little Shoebox strives to be the pre-eminent name in high-end and unique fashion footwear, it also has a responsibility to the community. For this reason, the store is continually active in charitable endeavors in the Baltimore area supporting many schools and businesses.
As an example, The Little Shoebox has donated over $75,000 to The Best Dressed Sale and Boutique which is run by the Women's Board of the Johns Hopkins Hospital. The mission of the Women’s Board is to acquaint the public with the work and needs of The Johns Hopkins Hospital and to raise funds to benefit patient care.
The Little Shoebox has also donated approximately $25,000 to Suited To Succeed, an organization dedicated to empowering Baltimore area women in their efforts to transition from training programs and unemployment to self-sufficiency by providing free professional clothing and workshops. Emilie takes great pride in knowing that our contributions are assisting women in their pursuit of a better life.
The Little Shoebox has donated over $50,000 worth of shoes to The Junior League of Baltimore, assisting women in their efforts to build coalitions and take action in their communities.
